Cleaning the HDMI cable of an STXL 11002 FW

    My STXL has been having difficulty connecting and staying connected. Cleaning the HDMI cable with DeoxIT has helped. I have sprayed the cable itself. I am wondering if it is OK to spray into the camera’s and FW’s sockets as well? Are they any other ways to clean these connections?

    A better approach might be:
    Spray the cable end, wipe off any excess drops, and insert/remove it from the camera a few times.
    That way, less liquid gets into the connector, and nothing goes where it shouldn't.
    Orient the camera so that any drops come out of the connector.
    You may wish to use a Kimwipe (dust free tissue wipe) to absorb any excess.
    Observe proper anti-static procedures. e.g. grounded wrist strap to anti-static mat that is properly grounded.
