Hello! I'm getting a couple of OS_ERRORs with my ST402. I've moved the scope to a robotic site and updated the computer to windows 11 (Beelink SER5) while running the 64-bit application of SGPro 4. I manually installed SBIGu64 into the drivers folder as had been suggested before. I had no problem with this on my previous setup. I was about halfway through getting dark frames in order to create master darks when I started to get the errors "SBIG error while ending exposure: OS_ERROR" and "SBIG error while setting cooler temperature: OS_ERROR." The cooler temperature seemed to resolve after closing the camera and restarting. The ending exposure error has persisted despite running the current drive checker, reinstalling SBIGu64 into the drivers folder, checking power management so that the computer is not allowed to turn off the USB ports, completely uninstalling the device and restarting the computer (there were multiple instances at first, and I deleted all). I would appreciate guidance. Thank you. Mike
Hello! I'm wondering if this could be an issue with the cooler. When I reviewed the log, only the cooler issue was noted - nothing about ending exposure error. This error started when I was running the darks and the cooler was running at about 95%. I stopped the sequence in SGPro4 and went to a lower temperature in order to continue obtaining raw darks for my master dark library at different temperatures and exposures. Today, when I restarted the sequence, the errors have not recurred. I'll run the camera under 90% cooling and see what happens. MIke
OS ERROR means a problem with the operating system. Specifically something has gone wrong at the Windows operating system level - usually an issue with Windows power management, device misconfiguration, or problems with USB devices like hubs and extenders. Check this and be thorough: https://forum.diffractionlimited.co...connects-turn-off-usb-selective-suspend.7848/ Especially important since this is a new operating system installation. Have a look at this too: https://forum.diffractionlimited.com/threads/new-computer-installation.10016/
BTW I know you said you checked, but when I remote in to people's PCs, sometimes there is one that has been missed - on a hub or root hub. Also, if the power supply is not working properly or wiring is too long, high delta-T on the cooler will draw more amps, and more amps need good solid connections, or the camera can drop out. So check cabling.
