Over the past few nights the AC4040BSI camera has been downloading random blank images. In a series of multiple images there will be some that are void of data and appears as all gray. This is used remotely at SRO. Any suggestions on discovering the possible cause?

Perhaps you are getting some frost accumulation behind the sensor, which could cause electrical issues. It's colder on the back of the sensor so that usually gets frosty first.

I'd suggest trying a desiccant purge.

Try power cycling the camera first.

This may be but at the remote site the blanks are mixed in with the taken images so it's random at multiple times. It's not frost as the images before and after look OK, still have the GSENSE pattern, but look "normal". The blanks are between frames, sometimes 3-4 in a row then back to "normal".

Just because you can't see frost, doesn't mean there isn't some accumulating under the sensor. The cooler is down there. The pins are down there. Electrical pins don't like water.

Not saying this is definitely the problem, but it is something to check.
