Over the years, my CFW-10 O ring has, I'll call it relaxed, or stretched slightly from its original size. This introduces errors in the move when the motor pressure on the carousel will every so slightly bunch up the O ring causing a delay in the filter change and an error being issued back to the software indicating the CFW is "busy". Are the O rings still available, and if so, how do I order one. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Bill,
Thank you. I ordered a 5 pack from McMaster-Carr from the information that Doug posted. Around $10 for the pack and $5 shipping, and they came 2 business days via Fed-Ex !! Changed the O ring and put the camera/FW in exercise mode (CCDOPS - random) and let it run for about an hour with no busy condition error. Also, in the non random mode, each filter change now takes a consistent 1.4 sec/filter. I believe I'm back in business !!

    Hi Bill,

Now that I have the camera on the bench for testing and have resolved the filter wheel issue, I have another question. I am seeing what I think is the internal guidechip blocking the light at the top portion of a light image. For a 10 sec exposure I am measuring about a 8500 count roll from the start of the "shadow" to the edge of the image. Can I move the guidechip or does it need to come back to you for adjustment? Thanks.

Send me the image in an email Frank. That's not the kind of thing that just happens, you've only recently noticed it? Anything different with your optics? What camera are you using? Has it affected your images or you just found it during testing? The ST and STL's all went through a vignette test as one of the last parts of Production testing. Moving the pickoff mirror will lose your focus between the Imager and the Guider. Do they seem to be in focus now?
