We have an AllSky 340 color at our clubs remote observatory. Is there a way to adjust the picture out to show more of the horizon? The North, South is cut off some.
I'll have it checked, but when I mounted it it was level, both ways. We had a bracket made to attach it to the fascia board and the housing is bolted to the bracket. (The C-clamp is a test for birds, trying to keep them off the dome.) I don't see in the manual what the thumb screw under the lens is for, FOV?
The sensor is rectangular, so you can't achieve full horizon imaging on both North and South horizons simultaneously. If you want to record more of the Southern horizon you could tip the unit a little Southward. Most people are more concerned about covering the East/West horizons because that's typically where the weather comes from...
