I have a aluma 3200 that is not powering up. I have checked the power supply, USB cables and the camera does not power up or the computer does not recognize that it is connected. The last time it was used, we were using maxim dl to start the cooling process. The camera was recognized by Maxim dl. Once the cooling command was started, the fans stopped and the camera was not recognized by the computer. Tried restart and reboot, and the camera has be unresponsive since then. What else can I check?
First things first - do the fans start running when you connect power to the camera? Have you checked for damaged pins in the power connector going to the camera? Silly question... is the power supply plugged into a known good AC power source?
Presently, the fans do not come on when power is applied. The power source is good, and I checked the voltage on the 6 pin mini din plug. Pins 1,3,5 are +12v.
Make sure the plug is mated properly into the camera. It should "click" in place; the outer shell pulls back to release it.
Clicking action on plug is working properly. Could the plug on the camera be damaged? I see nothing loose.
It may have to come in for service. Let me bring @Tim into this conversation... see if he has any more thoughts.
