We recently purchased Aluma 8300 and now are looking for a way to control it from our software (it uses sbigudrv.dll). Apparently, this driver does not support Aluma. We could not find anything functionaly similar in the files, supplied with the camera. Is there equivalent of sbigudrv.dll around? Or any other documented driver, working with unmanaged Windows code? If Software Development Kit, offered in http://diffractionlimited.com/product/aluma-8300/ , contains something of the kind, then please, whoever is responsible for that, consider this post a request for it.
The Aluma cameras have a state-of-the-art architecture, and use the DL Imaging driver package. If you are using MaxIm DL, you can select the DL Imaging driver. It gets installed with the Aluma driver package. The Aluma-8300 and filter wheel also work with ASCOM. If you have written your own piece of software or are using it with another application, let us know what the software is, who makes it, and what operating system it is on (eg Windows, Linux, or MacOS)?
