I chatted with Colin about this a few years ago right after I bought my SC-2 autoguider. He was able to get me connected, but I've forgotten the necessary steps. I'm getting a 206 error now when trying to connect the SC-2 to TSX. I've tried powering up and connecting the SC-2 before opening TSX --what I thought the solution was--but I still get the 206 error or a port error. I would appreciate any help.

After I posted this I remembered Colin had posted the solution back in March 2020. I’ll try this this next time I have the system up.

    To resolve:
Make sure AutoGuider using StarChaser with a Paramount is set to Direct Guide.
Make sure StarChaser has power before you attempt to connect.
If you connect and it fails due to no power, then subsequent attempt to connect may fail with TheSky X communications error 201 or 206.
If this happens, then exit TSX and launch it again.
This was TheSky X 10.5.0 12503 on Windows.
