Hi, on the manual of the AO-L we can see this : "Hints/Troubleshooting: Stray light: There may be some concern about the gap above the AO-L window and the AO-L front plate aperture. At F/5 light passing through the gap will NOT hit the CCD, and there should be no stray light associated with it." I would like to know if there is the same problem with the new AO-X. I have a 20" reflector F/3.3 and an ASA 4" corrector. Another question : is it possible to connect an AO-X on a STL11K ? Thanks, Fred
The window on the AO-X is very large, and there isn't a large gap above the window as in the AO-L design. The AO-X should be electrically compatible. I haven't looked into whether it is mechanically compatible, or whether it would require some kind of adapter plate.
"The AO-X should be electrically compatible." Ok, thanks but it would be necessary to be sure about it !! No problem for me to make an adapter plate Fred
All SBIG I2C accessories are compatible, as far as I am aware. Unfortunately I can't test it for you because we don't have an STL camera here.
