    Hello,

Does the library "Interop.MaxIm.dll" come with a version of Maxim DL or is it a third party? I would like to know if I can use it in a project that I am developing.

    I received it here, tks.
So can I make a reference to the "Interop.MaxIm.dll" library in my C# project to use its features?

    Hi Colin,

I downloaded Sample VB.NET image processing plug-in and observed that plug-in use this library (Interop.maxIm.dll), so can I reference this library in my project or is it not allowed?

    I downloaded on this link:

I thought I made it clear in the email that your software can use the MaxIm API if the end user has a license of MaxIm. You cannot ship any MaxIm components with your software, but you can use them.

David — The Interop DLL is generated by Visual Studio when you set a COM reference to the MaxIm API and create your objects with ‘new’(). This has the advantage of giving you full IntelliSense while developing. On the other hand if the MaxIm API should change versions in the future, you would need to recompile your project. I don’t think this is likely.
