Every time I place my ATIK 383 camera in a find/focus mode I'm unable to stop the process. The entire camera dialog box is unresponsive. The only way out of the situation is to ctrl/alt/del. I'm using the ASCOM driver. Is there any way out of this. My SBIG ST-8XE does not have this problem...just the ATIK.

It's hogging the CPU. Two options:

    1. Turn on the "separate thread" feature, under Options on the Setup tab.

    2. Slow down the process by adding a small Exposure Delay (Expose tab Options menu).

I just installed an updated Maxim driver from ATIK for the camera (2.6) and did set a short delay and it seems OK. I will also turn on the Separate thread option to insure I can stop it. I'll be able to check it out tonight. Thanks.
