I'm running Maxim DL 6.11 with an iOptron iEQ45 Pro mount but can't get movement in a guide star position when trying to calibrate the auto-guider.
I use a OAG on an Altair Astro 115 EDT-APO (f7) and Lodestar guide camera
System is Ascom based but not EQMod, instead uses iOptron's Commander interface.

Any others here use an iEQ45 Pro with guiding control through Maxim?

What settings are you using - tried most!

Are you using Direct Guide, or "Relays" with a cable from the Lodestar to the iOptron?

Hi Colin, Guider relays with a cable from the camera to the guide socket on the mount

Have you checked the cable wiring is correct?

So you can send guide directions from the camera to the mount successfully?

Running iOptron's "ASCOM and Commander Driver 5.o" and firmware 12/13/2015 for the mount (I think it will say V151016 or 151018) ?
Have you tried another program such as PHD to see if the Lodestar is able to influence mount direction through the guider port cable?
Alternatively, what happens if you use ASCOM Direct for the guiding, instead of Camera relays?

Hi Colin, All drivers and firmware are up to date, I tried PhD 2 last night but although it calibrated it reported errors in each axis and failed during a guiding run. Ascom Direct is not recognised. I'm beginning to regret buying this mount.

What were the errors? In MaxIm, did you turn on the Tracking Log in the guider settings and have a look? Also, what was the Guide Rate you set in the scope? Have you used the old Lodestar software to try guiding?
When you say ASCOM Direct is not recognized, what do you mean? Am pretty sure that the mount will support that. But, you need to use an ASCOM telescope hub like POTH if you have another program trying to control the scope at the same time as MaxIm, like from a planetarium program.
