Strange behavior after flip and then sustained throughout the night. Initial start up seems ok. Able to complete initial autoguiding calibration and confirmed that Maxim DL is running independently without problem before starting other components that includes ACP. Autoguiding is fine at start. Problem occurs after the flip that is managed by ACP. Target is reacquired after flip but when autoguiding is restarted it tracks but only in one axis. Within in 30 seconds or so guide star slowly drifts in one axis. It seems that there is no correction at all in one axis. After stopping and restarting now in position after zenith still same problem without ACP running at all. Just Maxim and Sky X. I recalibrate SC-2 and moves perfectly in all directions but when I start to just guide to confirm that the guider is running, same problem. Tracking in only one axis. Before flip no problem. So I decide to take out SC-2 and just guide with STL 4020 internal chip. Same problem. One axis only. All of this occurs after the flip. After restarting software and run only Maxim DL still same issue. I have tried ST-4 cables as well directly to mount. Same issue. I can calibrate and see a near perfect "L" with calibration but when starting autoguiding, no luck. Only thing that corrects this is shutting everything down including mount and restart. Any thoughts? The system runs fine before the flip. No issues like this before SC-2/software was added. I am not sure where the problem is here. Cannot seem to find others having same issue so far so hoping you could help or point me in some direction.

Okay so you've already proved this has nothing to do with the guide camera, since you also tried the STL's built-in chip.

Sounds like maybe you haven't got the pier flip settings configured properly. Most GE mounts will reverse the direction of guiding on the RA axis when you flip over the pier

That direction change is normally handled by ACP, but when using ACP you should make sure that MaxIm DL's built-in Auto Pier Flip feature is turned off (Guide Tab).
