Setup is a 10” Meade lx200 - AO8 - SC2-FW8-ALUMA814. Wondered about putting a 2x televue into this train, particularly for the SC2. Worried the pickoff mirror will be outside the light cone. Thoughts or any suggestions? Would like to be able to run the AO8, but concerned I won’t be able to guide.

All you can do is try it. Why do you want such high magnification?
If it's a PowerMate some of them have a top that unscrews revealing a T-thread.

Thanks Colin- looking for a bit greater resolution on planetary imaging.

Just a minor correction to my powermate comment - there actually is an adapter for some of them. I forgot about that.

Ok, have fun! Would love to see what results you get. Am not sure it's going to work or come to focus, but you can at least give it a try. The LX200 is good for back-focus distance, so it might work.
