Hi, I am not sure why, but when I set up the SC-3short with my AC4040, I have to set "sensor 1" rather than "sensor 2" for the AO-X. The manual says:

"If you will be using an adaptive optics unit, select Sensor 2 from the AO drop-down menu. Otherwise select Off."

If, however, I set it to Sensor 2, I get a conflict with the main AC4040 camera, and neither camera will stay connected. I attach a screen shot of my settings. Does this make sense? I've tried it several times with 'sensor 2', and in each case I have connection issues with the cameras. When I revert to 'sensor 1', all appears to be well.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.
    Best,
    Mark

    The correct settings:
    Camera 1 = AC4040
    Camera 2 = SC-3. AO-X enabled on Sensor 1.

Thanks Colin, that is what I am using. The manual does seem to say otherwise, but perhaps it is just my mis-reading the syntax and context.

Page on which manual? I can double check, and if an error, we will correct.

Hi Colin, pages 17-18 of the StarChaser Guider User's Manual. See screen shot attached.

Well, you know what they say, 'even a blind pig finds an acorn occasionally'. Given the number of things I've messed up just this past week I'm glad to have something to take credit for :)

Ha! that would apply to any number of furry and non-furry creatures.
