Can I use an ST9XE with an FW8G-STT

    As a temporary measure I'd like to use an ST9XE (Dual-chip) with an FW8G-STT filter wheel/guider. I would want to be using the FW8G as the guide cam and somehow ignoring the guide chip in the ST9XE.
    Is this possible?

    The guide camera in the FW8G-STT is not compatible with the ST-9XE. You would have to use the internal guider.

    The wheel should be compatible electrically, though we have not tested this configuration so I can't absolutely guarantee it. Mechanically... well you're going to have to rig something up.

    The Filter Wheel will index with the ST-9, I've done it setting the wheel as a FW8-STL in the Filter Setup (CCDOps).
