Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows why CCDOps is giving the error message: "Access Denied" whenever I try to load images from the "Utility/Average Images" command. This happens every time I try to load multiple files to average. It's not a file share issue, all permissions are set to Everyone. I can load the same files from the same folder in Astrometrica with no issues. This seems to be isolated to the Average Images command. In CCDOps, I can open files and make edits (dark subtraction etc.) with no problems whatsoever, just cant use the average utility. Any ideas? Thank you - Scott
As a followup to this message, I discovered that I can add files for averaging "one at a time", but I cannot open multiple files holding down the shift key. If it try to open multiple files I receive the "Access denied " error.
I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions other than continuing to tinker. CCDOPS is obsolete and no longer under active support.
Hi Doug, yeah I know it's days are pretty much over, but it does have the desired quality of simplicity. I use it specifically to get dark/flat masters and nothing else. I've been looking at other programs to perform this function but those I have looked at are geared for astrophotography processing - way more functionality than what I need. I am looking at Siril right now as a possible replacement. Do you know of another programs that are similar to CCDops in simplicity that can generate flat/dark masters?
