   Will a CLA-7 that is made for an STF-8300 fit an ST-7?

   According to the ST-7XE/XME documentation, the back focus is 0.92 inches.
   
   The STF-8300 back focus distance is 0.648 inches. Also the mounting method is very different.
   
   Probably you could get a custom adapter made by Precise Parts
