An H-alpha image of the Crescent Nebula taken 05/24 at 04:00AM local. This is a stack of four at 360' each.

Maxim DL used for capture and processing. The dark frames didn't match the light frames temperatures due to operator error but were close.

    imager: STC-7
    guider: ST402me
    scope: TMB 152 f/7.9
mount: AP 900 + NexDome pier

    Regards All,
    Tim

"When smoke gets in your eyes"

Attached is another take of the Crescent Nebula although a struggle due to Smokey skies.
This is a stack of three images at 10 minutes per. Cap and Processed via Maxim DL although had to dial up the Digital Development to bring out the Nebula which also made some of the stars fuzzy (from the smoke).

    Scope: AP 305mm R-H at f/3.6
    CCD: STC-7
    Guider: SC-2

Tim, that looks really good - for 30 minutes, that's pretty amazing. Gotta like this camera! You do such great work.

This later image has a lot more stars than the original post. ~Double the exposure and ~2x faster scope will do that. Tried a red filter to see if that would cut thru the smoke; didn't seem to help much. Between the monsoons, smoke and wind it's difficult to get good scope time.

    Definitely appreciate the encouragement.
