Hello, a few days ago, during an imaging session, my STT-3200ME stopped working. I checked the contacts in the connector, checked another power source, checked another USB cable but no success. I can hear the filterwheel in the FW-SG turning on power up but there are no indicator lights on the camera and the fans do not turn on. MaximDL gives error 27, meaning the camera cannot be found. So as there is no more support for these cameras, this ends my era with an SBIG camera (after ST-7, ST-8, ST-10, STF8300 but I still have a STi). Now to decide what to do with the defective camera and the functioning self-guide FW and 36mm CLRGBHSO filters as I will replace the STT with an European made camera. Maybe someone would be interested in spare parts ;-) Regards, Geert Vandenbulcke Belgium
You can check the fuse "F1" by removing the back cover of the camera. It is to the left of the power connector on the PCB. If that doesn't work. There is always the option to salvage the CCD, and transfer it into a new camera body. You would end up with this: https://diffractionlimited.com/product/aluma-3200/
Thank you, Tim. I have measured the F1 fuse and it passes power, so that is not the issue. Thank you for the suggestion to salvage the sensor, but I will not go further with Cyanogen camera's for now. Best regards, Geert
