My ST-i camera came with a ferrite clamp for the RJ11 relay cable (according to the packing list). Does it matter where the clamp is installed on the relay cable? Thanks.

The purpose of the ferrite is to prevent EMI currents generated by circuits in the camera from running down the cable. Usually the ferrite is placed closer to the source (the camera), but it is not critical.
