   Does it work if I fit a guide camera with a USB port to HDMI port of STT-8300 camera through an usb female to HDMI adapter, and guide the mount through the scope port of the STT camera?

   No, that will not work. Do not connect an HDMI adapter to the camera as it is not compatible and may cause damage.
