With the run of bad weather I've managed to get some things done on my system. I'm at the point that cleaning the filters would be appropriate but as I carry the camera and filter wheel I hear a bit of clinking noise like the filters aren't well set. Are there supposed to be any spaces to hold these in place as to not rattle? I've never heard that in my 8 position filter wheel on my STL-11000. Nor do I here it on the other STL-11000 with the internal filter wheel. No point in cleaning the filters if I need to do some other work on the wheel. Can you please advise?
I understand some customers 3D printed some shims or used thin plastic foam/tape to use up the space. It is very much filter-dependent. e.g. Astronomik has thin foam for their filters as they are a bit undersized in thickness.
Thanks Colin. Will look and see best approach. A good friend has some of those paper washers on hand.
