Electrically yes. Mechanically it will not fit on the camera.

The differences are mainly in the outer shell - top and bottom. It is possible to convert it over (I'd have to check on the cost), though a bit of a pain - since the outer shell pieces are different absolutely everything has to be disassembled and then reassembled.

The cost to convert the wheel from FW8G-STT to FW8G-Aluma is $900.

The unit has to be completely disassembled, down to the last part. We have to replace the entire outer shell - base plate and cover shell - which everything else is mounted to. We also have to replace the lens holder and a couple of spacers due to differences in back focus distance. We also have to replace the lens because it is epoxied into the holder.

We can reuse the motor, the moving parts, the three circuit boards (including the CCD sensor), and all the other hardware.
