Hi, i've just bought a STXL16200 camera and soon I will couple it to a FW8G (i'm about to order it). What is the nosepiece for the filter wheel? Is it a standard 2"? Camera and filter wheel will be used with an FSQ106n refractor. Thanks Stefano
I thought that the STXL 16200 had a 3"-24 thread. I have also just purchased a package with the STXL16200 camera with FW8G-STXL filter wheel and AO-X, but I had to go to Precise Parts to get a custom adaptor to go from the front of the camera stack to a 2-inch nose piece. I had to choose whether to get an adaptor to connect the nose piece to the 3"-24 threads or to bolt the adapter directly to the face of the camera. I chose the bolt on option.
I'm sorry, you are correct. The nosepiece for the STX / STXL is the 3". The drawing for the adapter is on Page 29 (Appendix E) of the STXL user manual.
