Hi All, I have some horizontal banding issues with my STT8300. Attached are two flat fields, 10 second exposures, t-shirt flats. Both exhibit strong banding, which is inconsistent. This has shown up in my images recently, noticeable in luminance frames. I have tried a different USB cable, and routing it differently. I have acquired flat fields in The Sky X for windows and Mac and CCDOps, all show this banding. Also the histogram doesn't shift when I double the exposure. I have had problems with this camera before, it has been back to SBig once and to the local dealer here another time, both times I've been told that it's a firmware problem. Can anyone shed some light on this? Cheers Stuart
I said it was a firmware issue Stuart? Seems like I would've just updated it and told you about it afterwards. Perhaps I couldn't duplicate the problem? Send me an email, bill@sbig.com, and I'll look into the details of when it was in. -Bill
