    Here's a 49 stack of M42 taken in h-alpha at 90 seconds/frame.

Maxim DL used 100% for everything including capture, focus and processing.

    Technical:
    Camera: STC-7 (@-25°C)
Scope: AP Riccardi-Honders astrograph, 305mm aperture at f/3.67 1120mm fl
    Guide: ST-402
    Mount: AP-900

    Clear, Dark Skies,
    Tim

Hey Tim, I did some serious "pixel peeping" on that - and think you may have a misalignment of some of the subs - am seeing double stars where there shouldnt be. Or am I nuts?
I can't believe the contrast though - it is really stunning.

    Hi Colin,

Yes, you're right, thanks for pointing this out. I ended up posting the 49 raw which had some with guide(?) problems, which I need to track down.
With Maxim DL, the 49 group was reduced to 8 using the FWHM in the quality menu of <stack> - very handy.
