Attached is an image of M42 using a STC-7 and SC-2 on guider, 229mm refractor f/9 on a Parallax mount.

    R: 7 x 60s
    G: 10 x 60s
    B: 10 x 60s

More time went into processing than capturing the image (aka "well fix it in post").

    Very nice!

This view reminds me of a night a couple years back with great seeing when I was out with my 16" dob. M42 was just amazing, 6 stars of the trapezium were just there and so obvious where on most nights you have to struggle to see anything more than the main 4.
