M42 after trying to find the WitchHead Nebula with the Baader UV-IR Cut-Off filter but it was 'red' tinted . I put on a TPO 80A light blue 2in. filter instead and tried the M42 to if it got anything and it only took 30secISO6400 to show . This image is four CR2.s into MaximDL Pro V6.16 and a lot of commands were used to get the image to resemble the Canon EOS Rebel T7i's LCD screen image . I Sum stacked the images . The FITS is "Half Size" two times and the pixels were "Resize" to 6.5 micron pixels . There is red in the image using only the 80A filter . The WitchHead Nebula still couldn't be seen with clouds moving in . x With M42 and an 80A filter it can be imaged with short exposures like this and some shorter exposures to lessen the Trapesium brightness and use Sum stacking .x
