Like some others, I'm having timeout issues with my STXL camera and wanted to get some help. Unlike most others, I am connecting via Ethernet not USB. Setup: STXL-6303 w/ AO-X and self-guiding filter wheel AP-900 mount TheSkyX Professional, latest build MacBook Pro running Windows 10 64 bit Camera connected via Ethernet cable Latest drivers and firmware for the camera (as of 4/6/16) sbigudrv.dll 4.90 build 1 stxusb.bf2 1.06 stxga.bf2 2.45 stx6303.bf2 1.01.05 stx0340.bf2 1.00.04 I have gotten the timeout both when running CCDOps and when running TheSkyX, so I don't think it is a TheSkyX issue but could be wrong. Any ideas what to check? The timeout can occur either when taking an exposure or when downloading. Thanks - Jared
Hello Jared, Just so you know, I have both connections to my camera, and via Ethernet I can easily throw a time out failure. You're not alone. Hows that, in CCDOps nonetheless. My camera is 4 years old, and I have suffered this randomly for the entire period. Because I was told this kind of fault was the result of inferior USB connections or noisy power, I have spent massive hours testing the camera with the best cables and hubs money can buy, yet these faults persist. It is terrible the massive amount of imaging hours I have lost these faults. As a second resort to USB, I now have the LAN cable up there too. But the failures happen on this communication option as well. Steve
