See the defect specification table on page 10 of the KAF-16803 sensor datasheet: https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/KAF-16803-D.PDF Up to 10 column defects are permitted under the sensor specifications. These are easily mitigated. The best approach is to dither the exposures and use Sigma Clip or SD Mask stacking. Of course column repair is also possible but the dither / stacking method provides optimal results.
While examining your FITS images, we also noted that you may wish to update to the latest Daily Build of TheSky X Pro. Checking their website, it is up to version 10.5.0 daily build 12165. There’s a couple years worth of new stuff in there since 10305 that you are running. http://www.bisque.com/sc/media/p/45603.aspx Best regards, Colin
There is a "Full Installer" over on Software Bisque's site that gets you a solid version of product; that's the version you downloaded. For the pro's like you guys, they offer updates via the latest Daily Build, which tends to get updated with all their fixes every few months. They call it "daily" but they only let it out when they think it is helpful to the broader community. You can ask them for more info about that.
Actually, the guy doing the imaging and setting the equipment up is a "Pro". He has done work in a number of observatories around the world and is graciously volunteering here to set up our equipment. His day job is with Sky-Skan and he happens to live down the road from the college.
