New ST-i shutter loose?

    Just received a brand new ST-i mono camera. When the camera isn’t powered, the shutter flops open and closed when rotating the camera. Is this the correct unpowered behavior? If not, I will return the camera. Thanks.

    Do not be concerned - this is normal. The new shutter design does not use a motor, but rather an electromagnet. Without power applied it is free to move.
