Registered my new STF8300M last night. How long do I have to wait before receiving an email for with an authorizing key for MaxIm LT ?
I'm afraid you do not qualify for a MaxIm LT license. The camera is not new. It was originally sold in June 2016, which is prior to MaxIm LT being offered. Plus you are not the original owner. If you wish to use MaxIm LT you can purchase a license.
Very upsetting news in regards that camera is not new as it was sold to me. But very helpful in establishing origins with the seller for refund. Is there any difference in the hardware of this model with current? Thank you. Eric D.
For later STF-8300M units we switched to a larger fan. Since then we've switched to selling the STF-8300EN (enhanced cooling) version, which has a dual stage cooler.
Thank you Doug. In researching your website, I came across the possibility of upgrading an STF8300M to an enhanced cooling model. Before I return this camera which is new old stock, I would like to ask what would be the cost of such an upgrade? Thank you. Eric D.
Eric, This camera clearly has a bit of an odd history. We sold it to a dealer 4-1/2 years ago, and somehow it recently worked its way to an eBay seller. Nevertheless, we want you to be satisfied with our product. If you decide to keep it, as a courtesy we'd like to offer you a complimentary MaxIm LT license. Hi Doug, I decided to actually return the camera. In its place I bought a used but more current SBIG ALUMA 814. I would, however, like to inquire if I could receive some credit or discount towards the purchase of the MaxIm DL Pro Suite software? my Camera's serial no: 18081701, sales order 2512 on August 23, 2018
