   Here is a basic question...for photometry with the Aluma AC4040 camera, what setting is preferred...low gain, high gain, high gain stackpro...or what? Reading through various sources on this, it really isn't addressed for a CMOS camera. Thanks,

   I would use High Gain StackPro. This provides good dynamic range and low noise.
   
   You could also use High Gain if you don't require large dynamic range.
