I didnt realise the STX 16803 had an RBI issue. I imaged M42 last night followed by darks, and M42 was in the darks.

I cannot seem to enable any sort of flushing in Maxim DL for this camera?

    regards

ok thanks. Looks like the default settings were enabled, so why is there a residual image in the darks? Do I simply increase the RBI flush value and is the STX capable of being RBI flushed?

Check the Readout Mode selector on the Expose tab... IIRC you also have to turn it on there.

I've recently obtained data collected from an STX-16803 that's operated remotely via ACP. The FITS header reads READOUTM = 'Raw'. I've no idea whether RBI's been enabled and can't find any mention of 'Raw 'on what I presume to be the help page for this camera. If by chance some RBI mitigation is going on then there's no information in the header (as I suggested awhile back in this post for our observatory's FLI 16803). -Jesse

If I recall correctly, RBI mitigation is controlled by the Readout Mode. So if it's not showing in the FITS header READOUTM field it wasn't being done.
