Rosette Nebula via STC-7

    Rosette taken with an AP R-H scope (305mm f/4.3) using AP 900.
    Camera - STC-7 with 8 images/RGB channel at 3 minutes exposure each.
    ST402 as guider.
    The image is off-center from the nebula for "artistic" effect.

    I started playing with your photos from this image first, and after I stacked it, I was blown away. Then I looked and realized this was with the 305mm at 900mm!!! I will play with the M42 next, but regardless, I was impressed with how good the blacks calibrated and how smooth the image turned out. Thanks again for the opportunity to mess around. Great work!

    Glad you're making good use of the data. I've collected about 700 GB in quick order.
    That scope and camera sure do make a nice combo.
