Hi Guenter - I have an EQ8 with other SBIG cameras. What is the problem? Are you running EQMOD / EQDIR, or the SynScan ASCOM driver?
Hi, wow thank you for your quick response. I use EQ mod, when calibrate, the mount produces startrails and never Stops. There is only motion in x-direction and not in y. Then it say calibration not sucessfull Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk
EQMOD and the EQ8 can be frustrating. Are you using 1.29a of EQMOD ? Get it from the EQMOD Yahoo Group. Are you using ASCOM direct guide or camera relays ? I am using the Autoguider cable from the camera to the mount. If you are using the Autoguider cable, check the wiring is correct. (Straight or flipped). Check the FTDI driver is recent - download latest from ftdichip.com
Hello! I installed The EQmod one year ago, my observatory is a few kilometres away, so i cant Check it now. I will update it The next time. I wasnt sure if i had to use direct guide or camera relays, so i try both, same result. On The camera there is an AO/CPW/SCOPE port, can i connect it with the autoguider Port of the EQ8? Now i connect The hand controller with The Computer, checking the right port in The Auto guider settings and say direct pc Mode to The Hand Controller.
