Hi, is there a way to have the sbig allsky software to automatically start capturing images? For example after the computer reboots it would be nice if the camera could start taking images again without user intervention. Thanks! (alternatively, is it possible to write custom software for this camera?)
Hi Nico, I'm not aware of a way to do it automatically, but maybe someone else knows. Back in the day, Windows came with something called Macro Recorder that let you do that sort of thing. You can find docs and software for the AllSky 340 here: https://diffractionlimited.com/legacy-product-support/ The camera that is inside the AllSky is an SBIG SG-4, so you can look at the docs and software and protocols as well.
