Hi new to the forum and hope this is the correct place to post. I did email Sbig looking for help on Sunday but haven't heard anything and thought maybe someone would know how to help. I am using SBIG 8300 mono and 8 position filter wheel purchased it new 1 1/2 years ago. Using the sky X to control everything has been working well. The other day filter wheel just stopped working. I haven't changed any of my settings or updated any software. I am still able to connect filter wheel but when I send a message to choose or change filters positions I get an error motor time out error. I downloaded CCDOPS lite and when tried I got the Motor timeout error. if anyone has suggestions what to do it would be appreciated.
Timm, Any chance you plugged the filter wheel into the camera while the camera was already powered up? -Bill
Hi Bill, thank you for quick response. No don't think so I leave them hooked up together all the time. Never had any reason to disconnect them.
