We have just updated the installers for: SBIG Driver Checker CCDOPS The changes fix a problem with Microsoft Redistributable files on Windows XP, and some minor issues with the Driver Checker. These installer are available from http://www.sbig.com/support/software/
I tried to install the SBIG driver software on a WIN7 32 bit machine. (Camera = ST-8XE) I received an error saying the C Runtime Distribution was too new. So I removed the C library and let the DriverChecker install its C Runtime Library. When I connect the camera nothing happens as far as USB notifications. So what can I do to troubleshoot the driver installation? I cannot find any help documents online that deal with a failed USB installation. I am not the first to try this install so I do not know what happened the first time installation was attempted. The camera works fine on an XP computer. Thanks, Jerry
