Would you happen to have the specs on the screws and rubber washers used to secure the filters in the STXL filter wheel? I need to replace the washers and a couple of the screws and I want to be sure I buy the right materials. I have a combo of 2mm and 3mm thick filters. Can the same screw/washer combo be used for either?
Doug, I think I found some extra screws in my original packaging. Without removing my camera and having to take flats, again, do these look like the McMaster screws?
Don’t have a location for you but try Digikey. They have many hundreds of different sized shoulder washer’s available (use “Shoulder Washer” as the search term on Digikey’s web site will take you there) although you’ll need to measure an existing washer for size unless Doug still has that information available. Problem with ordering small mechanical parts from bulk suppliers like Digikey is often minimum order quantity and these days with so many people owning or having access to 3D printers it’s often cheaper/faster to print your own or commission somebody else to print something for you. With many unmounted dichroic filters having poor or non-existent edge blackening it’s sometimes beneficial to print filter edge masks that incorporate the stand-off shoulder washer function into the mask to give a one-piece solution for effective filter masking and mechanical fixing but obviously designing those for 3D printing can be quite a challenge if you’ve no mechanical design experience or suitable measuring tools.
