Hello everyone, I’m curious as to what software people use for automation when using a SC-3 and AO-X combination. I don’t have issues getting the AO-X working when manually using Maxim DL but when it comes to doing overnight automation it gets a bit more complicated. I set up in my backyard every night so ACP isn’t really worth it. I’ve been through a trial period with CCDAP but it doesn’t seem to talk well with the AO-X; I think it’s the communication with the different guide pop up tab when in combination with the SC-3. I have SGP but given that PHD can only connect to the SC-3 that leaves the AO-X redundant. At this stage I haven’t tried using CCDCommander but other than that I’m a bit stumped as to what else I can use. Any Ideas?
I image every clear night. I have used CCDCommander a lot in the past and loved it. That was a long time age, however, I was using SBIG adaptive optics (don’t remember model number). I now use ACP and really love it. It is very powerful and can save you lots of time. I use it remotely with SBIG 16803 and AOX. Cheers, Rick
