Herewith is a batch of images taken with the STC-7 + SC-2 combo. Captured and processed via Maxim. The M31 was an attempt at HDR using a different program to meld the final 3 images.

    Thanks Doug...

An most excellent image os Sculptor Galaxy was posted at CN and inspired me to have a go of it. Here is a B&W version, hope to have colour one in the future.
Stack of 13 three minute images via STC-7 / AP-RH scope and AP-900 mount. Captured and stacked in Maxim with image stretch in PI. Full scale image but cropped. Image scale is about 0.882 arc-sec/pixel.

Love that galaxy. It's really hard to get a decent image from here, because it maxes out at 20 degrees above the horizon. Looking forward to seeing your colour version.

Interesting galaxy, have you been there? At 20° alt, that would be a challenge.

Here (SW Utah) it was 27° when the images were taken. It looks like max alt is around 28°. Theoretically, we should be 7° degrees difference in latitude (37° 11' 39' N)?

Last time I shot it was in 2010. Wasn't horrible, but needed more exposure.

With your scope and the STC-7 it's a good combo for this object, low altitude notwithstanding.

Attached is the object in colour. Five images easch RGB channel at 5 minutes per. All cap+proc in Maxim.

The fire smoke causes the halo around the subject.
