After several years of service, my ST-8300M suddenly fails to connect to its host computer. Power seems fine - the fan runs normally. However, the camera is now invisible via the USB port. I tried connecting the camera to a different computer, carefully following the instructions for driver installation. Same result - the camera is not even visible to the computer. Is this a hardware failure? Please advise on next steps. Thanks, Michael Smith
Sounds like something failed. Do check your power and the USB cable first, but failing something obvious like that please contact Bill @ service.
