Staff Assigned: Bill Lynch ST-8300M cannot connect via USB

    After several years of service, my ST-8300M suddenly fails to connect to its host computer. Power seems fine - the fan runs normally. However, the camera is now invisible via the USB port. I tried connecting the camera to a different computer, carefully following the instructions for driver installation. Same result - the camera is not even visible to the computer.

    Is this a hardware failure? Please advise on next steps.

    Sounds like something failed. Do check your power and the USB cable first, but failing something obvious like that please contact Bill @ service.
