Since owning my ST-8XME I've always wanted to use some of my Nikon lenses for widefield astrophotography. I have the Nikon 180mm f2.8 which is a gem on my modified Canon and I think it would be equally stunning on the ST-8XME.

I keep trying to snag a Mandel Widefield adapter; but, I missed out on the last two I've seen for sale. They sell very fast.

It looks like my only alternative may be the CLA-7.

What is the differences between the CLA-7 and the CLA-7 8300? Do either of them come with the male-to-male t-thread adapter that allows the use of 1.25" filters? Will the CLA-7 8300 even work with the old ST series?

    Thanks

    Joe

    Joe,
The older CLA's are no longer made. Chris at OPT has one Mandel adapter left.
The newer CLA adapters are made to fit the newer line of cameras.
