Have been trying to learn how to do imaging with the latest version of TheSkyX Pro. I can connect my QSI camera, filter wheel and AP mount just fine. But after I connect my SBIG ST-i autoguider and try to take a photo to see if the autoguider works I get an error dialog that says: SBIG Driver: Bad parameter. Error = 30006 ST-i connects but anything firther brings up this error dialog. Version info: I am using TSX version 10.5.0 (Build 12545) SBIG Driver Checker64 v 4.03 Build 4 SBIG Driver: sbigudrv.dll 4.99 Build 7, dated 02-11-19 ST-i FW 2.37 Win10 PC is running ver 190 (Build 18363.1082) Any ideas about what I can do to resolve this problem? (Works fine with MaxImDL but not TSX. Have written to Software Bisque and they are out of ideas, they thought it may be good to try DL support. Many thanks in advance, Jim Fakatselis
Download the latest SBIG Driver Checker, which is version 4.05 Build 0. You can get it by clicking this link: ftp://ftp.sbig.com/pub/SetupDriverChecker64.exe Let us know if that works.
Thanks, I did as you suggested. No new driver updates and no change in behavior, still get the Driver error. Sorry it did not work. Jim
Resolved ! Just found the solution from a user on the Bisque forums. The camera was somehow configured to connect to my primary camera's filter wheel. The ST-i had no filter wheel. Once I changed the settings to "No Filter Wheel" it works fine ! Thank you for your patience ! Jim
TSX Error 30006 = Bad Parameter message from the SBIG driver. So, they're doing something wrong. I have TSX 10.5.0 12503 in my backyard observatory and an ST-I. Did this break when you updated TSX to 12545 ?
