ST10XE is blind

    Hello to everyone (greets from Poland)

    my ST10XE is blind - in short

    no mater how long I make exposure - there is still the same in downloaded frame
    with telescope/ on my desk - using my AstroNotebook or other old computer
    I've also changed power supply and USB cord - still no luck

    from autoguider is simple dark image - from main ccd looks like in the picture

    from Maxim and CCDOps images looks exactly the same

    checked - shutter working perfect (if it's visible - )

    Was it working and then all of a sudden stopped working?
    Please explain the events that led to the malfunction.

    Unfortunately, after a few (EDIT: 3 - 4) years of astrophotoshoooting simply stopped working for no apparent reason
    I did as normal start my observatory and after unpark mount take 5 seconds shot
    and the camera did not record any stars in the field of view :(

    so it began that way :(

    Dear Jaroslaw,

    Can you check for oxidation on the plugs and connections.
    So the shutter and the fan works but no image displays after downloading?

    If there was no moisture in the chamber and no software or drivers were changed it may need to be repaired.
    I would check the cables and connections one last time.

    If nothing helps you can contact Bill Lynch for a repair.

    It looks like it will need to come in Jaroslaw. I am currently in the process of moving into a new building and I have no phone or email for the rest of this week, at least. Hopefully I will be back online Monday or Tuesday of next week.

    Jaroslaw,

    Have you verified that you've got the "Internal" guider selected in the software? Send me emails at bill@sbig.com.
