    Dear all,

I am member of an astronomical association mainly devoted to science popularization but with a small group of associated trying to do some amatorial research.

We use a Meade 350mm ACF f/10 with a SBIG ST8-XME as main camera that recently seems do not respond as expected.
When we try to connect the camera (through TheSkyX software) we often receive a message of error in a SkyX popup:
SBIG driver: Camera not found. Error - 30001.

Sometimes rebooting all the system the error disappears but in many cases we have to close our dome and give up.
Our suspect is that the connection or the high degree of humidity could be the responsible but actually we are groping in the dark and we would appreciate your help.

Do you have some experience with this error?
Let us know if you can help us and what kind of information would be useful to understand and finally solve the problem.

    Thank you.
    Angelo T.

Check the Windows Device Manager to see if the camera is listed.
If it is showing up there, but TheSkyX cannot communicate with it, I suspect operating system corruption.

"Camera not found" means that there is a communication problem between the computer and camera.

Replace your USB cable. If you have a hub, try connecting the camera directly to the PC.
