    Hello
Installed ccdops and the driver checker on a new computer
now my camera only cools to -7.7 and gets no cooler but stays at
    100% power.
If I raise the temp to -6 it will reach and power will level off.
I'm thinking when I updated with the driver checker
did that update the firmware in the camera?

Firmware is only updated if you go to the Driver Checker Firmware tab, and do an update yourself.
How hot was it outside? Remember the best delta-T you would get out of a new camera would be about 30-35C, so if it gets to -7, +30 = 23C ambient, which is a typical summer night.

    Very cold
    around 4 C
I have an old computer and has 5.61 build of ccdops and noticed now when I connect the camera
I have new options on saving a file type which I never had before also when camera is
connected instead of showing a 402 camera connected it actually reads an st8300.
    Could sure use help
    getting things back to
    normal.
Can I get the older drivers back?

May have fixed the software but now
wondering if I have a TEC problem
If my setpoint is - 7 the power will drop around 15% and less
If my setpoint -8 will always be at 100% and never get below -7.72
    Any help will be appreciated

That's odd... sounds like there might be a problem with the circuitry that drives the TEC.

What is your camera serial number?

You might want to get in touch with @Bill at SBIG Service & Repair.
