I'm trying to set up my ST8i on a new machine. Been running for years without any problem. The camera is connected to an EPA module. I can connect with Maxim, control the camera, but the downloaded image (which has the correct dimensions) appears to be split into two identical parts, left and right. Like it's reading out half the sensor array and duplicating it. FITS attached. Most likely I have a driver problem. I downloaded Driver Checker 4.04. sbigudrv.dll 4.99 Build 7 02-11-19 sbigu64.sys 2.41.0.1338 01-27-15 sbigucam.hex 2.42 01-27-15 sbiglcam.hex 2.20 01-27-15 sbigfcam.hex 2.25 01-27-15 sbigfga.bin 2004.11.10 01-27-15 Do I need to be tracking down different components than these? The dates on the files are much newer than what I must have been running before, which were probably over 10 years old (the last time I installed drivers). Your assistance in getting this camera working on my new setup is appreciated.
Yes, but operated over Ethernet. I found an older version of Driver Checker (3.11) on your site and using that it appears the camera is working properly now.
Yes you need to use the old version of the drivers with parallel port cameras. See https://diffractionlimited.com/support/sbig-archives/
